MIT JAZZ FESTIVAL
A FESTIVAL BORN WITH STRENGTH AND MOMENTUM
Mérida is a city with an incomparable legacy. Recognized as a World Heritage Site, it was one of the three great Roman capitals of the Iberian Peninsula more than 2,000 years ago. Its Roman Theatre, unique in the world for its preservation and beauty, is the setting for the prestigious Mérida International Classical Theatre Festival every summer.
But Mérida is much more than that. The city offers a variety of emblematic performance spaces, both outdoors, such as the Temple of Diana, the gardens and the esplanade of the Aqueduct, the Plaza de España or the Arch of Trajan, and indoors, such as the Maria Luisa Theatre or the Mérida Congress Palace.
